Brunswick tends to get pretty hot in August. I haven't been on the base in
a few years, but I don't recall anyplace where you could park in shade. So,
be prepared for some blistering days. If you're lucky it will be in the
upper 70s lower 80s. If not, could be a lot higher. Upper 90s is not
unheard of - with higher humidity.
Anybody interested in places to eat? My parents still live in Brunswick and
I know a few good places. Freeport (10 miles south more or less on 95) has
LL Beans (open 24 hours a day) and a number of outlet stores. Want more
shopping info? Drop me a line.
If you're into walking, Brunswick has a pedestrian/bike path between Cook's
Corner (where BNAS is) and downtown. It's a hike. There's lots more outdoor
things to do in the area. Let me know what you like to do and I'll try to
put together some info.
