I'm about ready to install two chairs in the old dinette area of out 76
Palm Beach. So, anybody with an idea of how thick the floor really is in
that area? I have two different thicknesses listed: 1" plywood and
something a bit thinner.

Also, I'm looking for specs for a required washer size on the road side of
the floor. My plan is to bolt the chairs through the floor with stainless
5/16 bolts using washers. Right now I have 1" washers and believe that I
need something in the 3" range. Any ideas of where to get the info? My goal
is to have the chairs usable when traveling. They are mounted with the
locked position fore or aft facing depending on the chair.

Thanks,

Henry
PS I had the chair pedastles cut and extended so that the bottom of the
chair clears the front step by 3/4". That means that the chair is 10.5
inches from the floor to the bottom of the chair. Nice height for my wife,
a little tall for me.

Sounds like a big ol' stainless fender washer would work.
