Anybody know how the floor light wiring is routed from the switch by the
door in a 1978 Eleganza??

I have very dim LED floor lights, and they only have about 6 volts at the
lights.
There is about 12 v at the switch.

Thanks, RonC

Check the grounds from the lights and try cleaning the inside of the bulb contacts. Probably a corrosion problem.

LED lights, Emery, hard wired, no sockets. Good advice, otherwise. :)

Still check the grounds or put a smaller resistor in the circuits.

Where was the "12 volts at the switch" measured? The supply side or the switched side? I had a bad switch. Measured 12v on the supply side but low
volts on the load side. Jumper the switch and see if anything changes.

I don't know how a 78 is wired. On my 74 the wiring goes up. There is a connection around the bath module where one lead is dropped down for the
floor light under the frig. The other lead goes over the ceiling and drops down to feed the floor lights on the drivers side. Two floor lights on
the drivers but I'm not sure how the feed is run to those two lights. Most of this wiring is visible with the drawers removed.

Please let us know what you find out.

Good on ya, Emery, looks like it might be a ground problem.
Now, all I have to do is find out where the ground points are for the
coach.
I didn't think it would be a voltage drop across a bad ground conection,
because LEDs draw so little current. the only 12v things that don't work
in the coach are the floor lights and the furnace, and that's turned off.
