As one of those late 70's guys, and a "old mechanic" to boot, please have
some empathy for your parents. Someday too soon, you will be looking in the
mirror and exclaim "WTF???" where did that young guy dissapear to?
Let's hope that your children aren't in too big of a rush to dispose
of your lifelong accumulation of memories.
I just spent $108.00 dollars to buy new hoses because my well
intentioned son threw out my perfectly serviceable ones because he deemed
them to be Old Junk when he was "helping me by cleaning up my storage shed"
Can't find crap after he organized it. That new hose? Made out of something
that you can't even uncoil when it is cold. I have to hook it up, turn on
the water, and let it sit in the hot sun before I can uncoil it. My old
hoses were supple and easy to deploy. Kinda like a well worn jacket.
Grrrrrrr.
