That was me, Mac. It works great as a tow car if you like raucous, loud, and stiff. At just 12' long they carry three or four easily, have plenty of room for groceries and stuff, and can start your heart in the morning if you push the turbo boost over 20 psi. It is perfect to tow behind a GMC since it weighs just 2500 pounds. Now that we have the monster bus we are rethinking our towing needs. We can now pull any of the auto trans vehicles that can be towed four down so would not need the tow dolly. If we decide to keep this setup I will add a resonator to quiet down the exhaust just a bit and will have an auto audio company sound deaden the interior to block some of the road noise.

If one of our GMC friends wants this setup we would sell the tow dolly and the Abarth for just what we paid. The car has less than 1000 driven miles. It is the Scorpion Edition with lipstick red and black leather interior, white exterior, white 17" Abarth wheels and Parelli Pzero Nero tires. MSRP was $32,000 or there about. We paid a bit over $17,000 for the Abarth and found the super neat tow dolly locally for $1000 with a new spare wheel and tire plus disk surge brakes instead of the $2000 plus shipping MSRP asked by thetowdolly.com company. It had been used four times to pull a Prius.

You wouldn't happen to be coming to Shawnee with that combo, would you?

What year is the Abarth? 2015?

We test drove the 2017 500 Abarth and the 124 Spider last weekend at the OKC Auto Show.

My butts too wide for the Spider and Judy is too short to see well over the steering wheel.

I'll bet my favorite auto upholster could come up with a wedge pillow to minimize those problems!

Judy and I both thought the little 500 was a blast to drive. Prolly could find a quieter exhaust, too.

Hi Mac,

We will not be at GMCMI this time. Yes it is a 2015. I have a new, not installed trailer hitch designed for the Abarth. My plan was to use it to move the tow dolly or a small, utility trailer around locally as the Abarth in Europe often tows small trailers like that. It would be easy to fly out to Medford, OR, and drive the Abarth back with the tow dolly attached if you are interested.
