Everything I've read up 'til now says the 2797. Is the 2979
a new flavor, an improved designed, a re-package, the
next stage of evolution or a typo?
Standing at the parts counter with open checkbook and
warmed-up pen . . . what does a boy ask for?

P.S. Was at the local junkyard today. The '74 Toronado
that I saw a couple of weeks ago was sitting there with the
engine gone, but the transmission and final drive
(separated) were just sitting out there on the ground
looking up at me with that "take me home" look. If
anybody on the mailing list is near Rialto, CA, and looking
for these components, they're at the Ecology yard on
Riverside Ave., about six rows into the GM section.
