I think I am the newest ex wannabe. Just bought a 1975 Glenbrook. Yea!!!!

Terry and Jeanie Doukas
TZE165V100931

Of course I just got it in the driveway after bringing it home, stopped and
had local expert look over tires(bad) and got more gas in it, backed it in
the drive and the right front brake was smoking, thought it was losing
power, and BAM!, don't know if that was brake line or what, have to let it
cold down before I can look.

1) New tires, 16" or 16.5"? What is factory size 16.5"? It has 9.50's on it.

2) Air bags are filled thru Schrader valves, compressor not running or in
system. Is there a schematic around?

Grinning just a little less.

Check the rubber brake hose itself, I had the inner liner of the front
brake hose swell, the fluid goes to the caliper and will not release.
I replaced BOTH sides and have just picked up the rear flexible hoses
as well and will install them soonest.

That is exactly what happened. The hose is what blew and no fluid came out
until I cut it in two. Unfortunately the pads and caliper are fried. I will
get them tomorrow.

Some folks have put 950s on but 875.16.5 was OEM. If they need
replacement and $$$ is not a huge issue go for the 16" Alcoas and 225R16
Bridgestones or Goodyear G159s.

Don't be overly concerned if the air system has been removed. Jim Bolick,
who is campground hosting with me in Georgia carries a small air tank and
fills his air springs whenever they drop below 80-90 psi and has been
doing so for some 7-8 years.

Let the games begin! In the meanwhile where does Roger Black and Gene
French stand with regard to their "Wannabe" status?
