Congrats - You are now certifiable and eligible for a mental health arrest at
any time your wife desires. Keep this in mind when asking her (begging) about
some upgrade or repair that will only cost a few dollars (in relation to the
national budget - that is).
You probably have a rusted and locked up caliper. If it has not done much
damage to the disc, it is and easy fix. If so you may want to consider doing
both front calipers and do your fir$t upgrade to the 80mm calipers. This is
what happened when I picked up my last one and we changed it on the road as I
brought a spare.
