Exterior roof pics?

hi 6cuda6,

here is one of our '76 EL2 after removing the roof pod:
76GMC.Roof.jpg

this one came with both ACs and front vent fan. if possible, post up one of what you have.

This was mine when purchased. There is a radio antenna about where I am standing. That reminds me that I'm going to have dozens of holes to fill :-(

Heres the roof of my Hughes....you can see the vent stack just to the front right of the roof vent....i need to move it if im going to put dual A/C on. I might even have to clearence the fridge vent cover but will only know that once i get up there and measure exactly. 20191012_113419_resized.webp

That is an unusual location of the vent. Do you have rear bath setup? I have side bath (passenger side) and it vents to the far right as you're looking at tbe roof In your photo. Plus, I only have two vents, not three.

I spoke too soon... I have three vents - two on passenger side and one on the drivers. They are just about in the same area as your vents, but much further to the side right under the railing.

Here's one I checked out that was for sale, I just happen to have a roof pic.

Yep, that is exactly where my vents are located. BTW, are you doing this work on the unit that is completely gutted but has a new pretty engine pictures (in the build thread)? If you are starting with a clean slate, you have a significant advantage. By that I mean that you don't need to worry about making 90 degree bends in the existing tank vent fr to "move" the pipe to the outside of the coach. Plug that hole right on the tank and drill a new hole on the side from where you intend to run the piping upward to the cap.

Nope thats not mine...i think thats Mike's.
Im going to have to do some inside mods to move it ....should be straight foward by adding a few bends but no way am i drilling into the tank as there is a couple bathroom attached to it....lol.

That pretty (but not running yet) engine one is mine.
