Are there any folks on the list that have used the GMC for extended trips
(6+ months)
John, Vivian and I live in our coach 6 to 7 months a year. When it starts
getting hot in Florida we head to the northern climate's trying to find a
place to stay cool. Normally we volunteer in a state park system, we save
money and it gives us something to do. We wash clothes once a week, so we
only lay in an 8 day supply of clothes, two pair of dress/casual shoe's and
one pair of work shoe's. We buy a lot of frozen/quickie dinner's, use
paper plate's and plastic silverware, two T.V.'s, one up front and a 12
volt color set in the sleeping area, I don't care to watch craft shows
constantly. Satellite T.V. system on a tripod with 75 ft. of coax. Carry
at least one light jacket for those trips into caverns. We find that we
spend more time outside the coach than in it. We tow a Saturn and do a lot
of sight seeing. We are even still talking to each other when we get back
home for the winter. Remember, you can't pack all your household
belongings/possessions and still be able to get yourself in the coach. When
you are loaded to live in it for 6 months, including a weeks worth of
groceries, find a scale and weigh your coach with you and co-pilot in it,
one of you may have to stay home.
