Sounds like where I got the idea from. Not much of what I do is
original. Seems like I read about 100 different ways to "skin a cat",
remember about 2 of them so when the time comes and the cat needs it, I
have the ideas that I need to get the job done. Love this digest!
I couldn't afford the headers when I did my exhaust system and I had
just sealed the stock manifolds so I just went with 2.5 from the
manifolds to a 3" y pipe, then 3" over to a 16' long 3" section back to
a Camaro muffler. I'm not sure headers would be much more successful.
Before I had this done I could not make it up the street to my house,
1/4 mile 30% grade. Now I have to hit the brakes at the top of the
hill. I made no other changes than the exhaust system. Like yours, it
is quieter inside, the floor is cooler and it sounds better than I had
hoped for. Thanks for the idea, now I know where it came from!
