Europe in a GMC...

I go away for a week and you start making plans without me So
ya wanna take your GMC's to Europe do ya ?
It's only a thought, but what about y'all drive to Nova Scotia, box up
the GMC and freight 'em out of Halifax. We all return to my place in
Antigonish where we "camp out", eating lobsters and swilling beer,
for the couple of weeks it takes for the boat to cross and then we
all fly out of Halifax to wherever the boat is docking and claim 'em.
Then we travel !
This offer is open to anyone at any time, but I suggest off season
flights and I don't know anything about shipping containers of
fibreglass and aluminium
I don't think a 26er would present any serious problems, in most
countries.
The Bad news, however, is that I can't join you until after July of
2002

A GMC in Europe --NOT FOR US. We find that a Ford Fiesta, etc.,
rental is just right---can get on all the roads and easy on gas.
Quaint roadside lodging is readily available and affordable. With
the GMC witout a towd you would miss half to the sights. Besides I
would feel like the genuine "Ugly American" traveling in such luxury.

My guess is you would displace 2 containers wide and possibly two
containers high. That is 4 containers at $2,500 each.

Mike, this sounds so good! I wish I had a yen to travel in Europe but
maybe I can just stop by Antigonish and watch ya'll swig beer instead.

You should come to the 'real' Canada. Those places your son-in-
law has been telling you about don't really count
Stop by any time for the "water bugs" and cold ones ..

Are you in Europe? I just picked up this thread.

If you are, there is a place in Englasnd called "The Coach House" where the
owner has collected 8-10 GMC's among his vintage Brit autos, try to find
him. I have talked to him on the phone several times and found him to be
jery interesting.
