Ron: Can you give me the brand name of the epoxy that you like? I have to
fill some (big) holes in my roof of the GMC and want to epoxy aluminum on
to the inside wall, then epoxy aluminum on to the outside of the epoxied
backing piece and then fill the gap around the circumference of the outside
piece with body filler or JBWeld. BTW, does anybody have experience with JB
Weld as a glue for two pieces of aluminum?

Vic,
JBWeld is what I used to glue an over lapping aluminum patch to the inside of
the skin panel to lower vent cover hole for the oringal opening for the
refrigerator (which I relocated). I ruffed up both parts well with the edge of
a file before applying the JB. The hardest part was rigging clamps and braces
to push the patch up tight against the curved wall while the epoxy hardened.
But the patch has held just fine for over five years. I'm now trying to find a
body shop to fill the outside of the patch and refinish the area. Good luck
with your patching.
