Is there a direct replacement for the entry door latch. I need to replace
mine. It is sometimes difficult to unlock. Maybe due to wear?

We have a screen door & the lock button gets stuck between the screen &
the entry door making the door hard to lock/unlock. I went to a smooth
thin button & it solved our problem.

Hi Frank,
When I got my GMC the door lock wouldnt
unlock with a key. I sprayed some powdered
graphic ( Spelled Wrong ) into the key slot...
Now it works VERY easy. Give it a try. You can
get it from any autostore I think.

Mine wouldn't unlock at all just after I bought it. Turned out that
there is a threaded rod at the end of the door lock button that has two
nuts (sound familiar?) If the nuts are loose, the door will not
unlock. Access is gained through the inner panel below the window.
Good luck.

Frank had our 78 Kingsley broken into so took it to the peterbilt dealer
here in town. They told me the door latch was a Kenworth and we had a big go
around with the latch they installed. Did not work and looked like H---L.
They finally got the latch from cinnabar and it looks and works good.
