It should be straight with the centerline of the engine parallel to the centerline of the coach. But it should also be off-center, shifted to the passenger side.

There are also two motor/transmission mounts at the rear of the assembly bolted to a piece bolted to the frame. If the engine has actually shifted, some or all of the rubber in those mounts should be visibly damaged.
