Golby Motor Corporation in Orlando FL has charged me $6,006.80 for turn key
Engine rebuild [11/2/98]. Re-manufactured engine = $3,120. Engine had 90K
on it and had new alternator and rebuilt accessories, good oil pressure and
compression. Had driven it 10K since we purchased coach 7 months ago.
Going down steep hill in NC and put transmission in S for additional
breaking. I actually put transmission into L. I heard it revving up but
before I kicked it out of gear, I had floated one valve lifter = bent valve
= 7 cylinders with compression.

Lets get back on to what we were talking about. I need some help for our
referencing. I am not crazy I don't think but I need to be reminded what we
were discussing. If it was the page alert it was installed in the late 70 or
early 80's. If we are talking about the 455 rebuild give me a specific to talk
to you about. Thanks chuck

When I bought my coach a couple of years ago, I was on my maiden voyage when I
went down a steep hill, shifted down, and heard a click starting. Before I
went two miles the click was a clack and I also lost #7. It seems that one
gets starved for oil somehow, or that's what Ed Osborne told me.. So, I had
to rebuild as well. So much for #7.
