engine ac

i think the clutch in my ac compressor is bad. it does not fully engage , turns eratic, and causes vibration. where can i send the compressor to get fixed and what do i use to recharge the sys. t

Hi, Chris,

If it really is just the clutch, it is replaceable on the coach and not
terribly hard to do; does require some special tools, but you can buy them
off of the Snap-On truck for less than you can pay someone else to do it for
you.

But before you replace the clutch, be sure that the compressor isn't locking
down; if so, rebuilt compressors are readily available and will come with
the clutch already installed.

I bought a rebuilt compressor from Cinnebar and the clutch did not come
with it and it cost me another $35.00 to transfer the clutch to the
rebuilt. So I guess you have to ask the vendor if it does come with it.
