Before I became smart enough to print out and catalog the information being
shared on this site, I remember reading a discussion regarding shock
absorbers. The writer discussed the relative worth of Bilsteins compared to
a couple other brands and ultimately explained how he had decided on
another brand. I need to replace the front shocks on my recently acquired
1976 26' Royale and would greatly appreciate someone sending me the piece.

Also, I had to pay the DMV an extra $300 because they couldn't find an
"Emissions" sticker some where on the engine. They weren't very specific
about what they were looking for, but indicated I could probably get my
$300 refunded if I could offer a reasonable explanation as to why it wasn't
on the engine. Can any one tell me what they're looking for and where I
should find it. I'm pretty good at "reasonable explanations" if I know what
I'm trying to explain.

Rest assured I'm now keeping pertinent data as I come across it. I'm a
former "shade tree mechanic", but since I can no longer turn wrenches I
need to rely on a good data file to prevent untrained technicians from
doing more damage when trying to fix a problem.

Keep the good info coming, and thanks for any help you can give.
