The last emailer posting was on Monday at around 10:45 PM.

I usually see a few of them signed on to the forum looking but not posting when that happens.

[Posted from forum] From my side, it looks like emails are not making it to the forum, but forum posts are making it to email.

I got the digest email on Tuesday at 4:43 pm and then a couple of them today. I use the forum, but get the digest anyway in case the forum breaks
down. Apparently it happens the other way around most of the time. Several email postings from the 7th, but I didn't compare the forum yet to see if
they made it there.

Yes indeed, now I see several postings that did not make it to the forum. That's why I get the digest too, but I don't usually read it unless someone
like Ken calls attention to the missing posts...Thanks Ken!

Thanks for the information. That should be a big help to Patrick or Billy or whomever will fix this. They now can look in the email out box and see
if any email were rejected back to them.

Problem could also be the Forum ISP rejecting the inbound emails (usually a SPAM filter).

I've not heard from Patrick lately - I usually don't get involved unless it's really necessary!

But I figured I'd reply and see what happens...

The email posts appear to be making it to the GMCnet Google Archive.

An example might be the "Blower won't run" thread from last night. It
went out via email but never made it to the forum.

If Patrick verified the connector from Mailman to the forum - the issue may lie on the forum side...

The thread you mentioned is in the Google GMCnet Archive.

Ken,

Yep, I'm not getting emails from the GMCnet. Billy said it had to do do with too many bounces and so he asked if I had checked my emails lately, I
called him and told him I check it daily so he said he would reset my account, I assume he did but I'm still not getting any emails nor can I send
them in. The message titled OEM & Aluminum Radiator Oil & Trans Cooler Hot Flush Cleaning I sent in via email but it never posted to the Forum so I'm
going to post it on the Forum.

Rob,

I am thinking that your's is a different problem because you are not sending to or receiving from the email server.

The rest of the people, as I understand it, are able to send to and receive from the email server. They are also able to receive message that
originated on the forum. Their problem is that their sent emails are not being forwarded to or received correctly at the Forum server.

So where is their problem? I cannot tell you as I do not have the keys to the kingdom (administrative access to) the email server or the forum
server.

The problem is probably one of three areas. The email server is not sending, the network is filtering / not delivering, or the forum is discarding
the email traffic. Anything from here on is just a guess on my part. Also I have not messed with email services delivered by the Internet for
almost 25 years. Billy or Patrick are the place to go to get help resolving these issues. They will have the ability / access to diagnose the
problem.

Ken,

If I send an email to mailto:gmclist it does not appear on the Forum. I am not receiving emails from the gmcnet nor am I receiving
emails from Gmclist [mailto:gmclist-bounces]; on behalf of; john Doe [mailto:johndoe

I can and have been logging on to the Forum and posting messages there.

Yes Rob,

That makes sense. Both of those address are controlled by Patrick and Billy. You might try sending an email direct to one of them if using their
help email address(s) are not working.

Rob,

The problem appears to be specific to your ISP. This is the error that I
received:

"all hosts for 'iinet.net.au' have been failing for a long time (and retry
time not reached)"

Patrick

Patrick,
Robs email works for me, it must be you.
Did you get on a spam list?

Thanks for catching the e-mail problem Ken.

I believe my hosting provider recently upgraded PHP. There were some depricated functions in the old version of FUDforum that no longer worked with
the new version of PHP, which I believe was causing the e-mail import to crash. So I upgraded FUDforum, fingers crossed that it does the trick.
