Dave, if this is throttle body fuel injection it might be a way to get a
system with enough capacity for a 455.

Do you have the kit number?

Hi Gary

The kit is documented in the GMC performance catalog. You can download it
from
http://www.gmgoodwrench.com/parts/performance_main.htm
the section of the catalog you want is pages 27-33
http://www.gmgoodwrench.com/parts/pdf/027-033.pdf

There is a complete parts list for the kit and the engine including the new
PROM. This PROM would probably be OK for the 502 in a GMC, I don't know
about using it with the 455. The ECU computes the mixture based on
volumetric efficiency not engine size alone. The 455 may be substantially
different then the Vortec 454/502. A non Vortec 454 may be an appropriate
starting point. Does Howell or someone offer a PROM for the GMC 455?

You may want to read the following page for some insight into the tuning
process
