electric fuel pump wiring

Question - schematic shows a 16ga black wire that powers the fuel selector valve. If a new electric pump is installed, is the wire big enough to power
the valve and the pump in the AUX position? Or do we run a "sister" wire, or a whole new wire? Coach has no house batts, so no relay set up back
there...

16 ga. will handle both. My electric fuel pump draws about a 1.4 amp and I have a 3 amp in series with it that has never blown.

Thanks, Ken - that's the answer I was hoping for...

John,
Never use the rear power source for your engine support.
Not a bad idea to use a switch with an light to advise you when it is on.
Naturally when you turn the key off, it will go off if connected to the
correct source.

I wired it so it will only come on with the ignition switch in the on
position.  I only use it for starting or if I suspect vapor lock. I use
a guarded toggle switch with a red indicator light built in.  I also
wired a rollover switch from a Ford/Mazda pickup. If I am unfortunate
enough to get hit while it is on the switch will turn the pump off.

Any Ford Ranger or Mazda equivalent in the men's mall will work. Usually
about $5.00.  Passengers side, on the inside firewall.
