IIRC, there's an extra contact on the dash fuel selector switch that can be used to power the pump on the main tank. The one that originally powered
the selector can be used for the aux pump.

If you are willing to run a wire, you can eliminate all relays. In the space program and communications, a wire is more reliable than an active
component.

I wasn't aware there was a contact, or I might of done so. However, fail the switch - not an uncommon happening after 40 years - you're dead in the
road. I ran a fused wire to the relay. whether the relay from today outlasts the switch from yesteryear is for the owner to decide. Either way, you
got to run a wire.
