Hope you didn't mount your electric fan to the radiator with nylon ties or
similar anchors, because they will chaff the radiator core over time due to
vibrations.
What effect on engine performance have you noticed since making the
conversion???

Don,
I recently did away with my original engine fan and installed a 16 inch
electric "puller" fan from J.C.Whitney on the back of the radiator.
