EKE sensor

Say,
Those that have installed the EKE from Caspro... how HOT does it get? I
see A LOT of fins and was going to mount it under my seat (as someone
mentioned they did) but was concerned that it may get a tad bit warm
enclosed there. Still cooler than the engine compartment I guess. Let me
know you thoughts.

Gene has some pictures of the install I did with Emery. He suggested
putting it the engine compartment and we mounted it on the flange of the
hatch. See gene's pics ... went in fine and you can easily get to it to
adjust if you need to . I did when I went from 6K feet to sea level. Works
great - I think... It was interesting. the engine started to knock, and my
ears pricked up to listen, then it went away. Then I put my foot on it and
it didn't knock. It works like advertised. Just a note... the adjusting
screws are hard to see and have a travel of about 180 degrees. Not much, so
a little turn goes a long way.

I mounted mine on the right side of the passenger seat box - not inside the
box. It never had a problem w/heat.

Good idea Arch... will so same with mine. They are hard to see, and with a
flashlight, and the engine running, even a bit harder. Thanks for the advise.

Thanks for the replies, guys! Did you notice that the timing retards (with a
timing light) that much when you tap the head with a screw driver like the
manual mentions? I thought that was pretty slick. Anxious to try mine now.

Edgar, how hot does yours get mounted to the side of the passenger pedistal?

I could not see my arrows. I took a toothpick and dipped it in model
airplane
white paint then touched it to the arrows. Now I can see them. Thats what I
did.

I've never noticed any appreciable heat.
