For those of you installing the Caspro EKE system you will note that
in the instructions it discusses the use of a diode with the
distributor module if the module has the number 466 on it. I found
that needed the diode with an aftermarket (CarQuest) module to keep
the engine from dying but when I replaced the module recently with
the AC/Delco one I did not need the diode. HOWEVER, you might note
thta the AC/Delco module also had the number 466 cast into the face
of it.
This means that the AC/Delco has a different internal circuitry from
the aftermarket ones.
