The State Parks Spokesperson in charge of reservations announced yesterday
that as of 9:00 A.M. yesterday that 1018 overflow campsites were booked for
the Eclipse.
All STATE Parks are now officially booked for the event. The rest of
reservations had already been booked since November, 2016. It is going to
be a good weekend for me to just stay home and relax, depending upon what
the GMC Cascaders come up with for the Eclipse.

Crazy huh?

I did not try to reserve any sites this go-around. Southwest had there fare sale, so my 10 year old daughter and I now have tickets in hand to be
out in oregon aug. 18-28th. $340 a round trip is alot better then the $500+ they were the day before the sale. Better time-wise, and now way
less then gas for the gmc. Someday I will take the gmc out there, but might have to wait till retirement.

Like you, i think we will be staying at my brother's house and hoping for no clouds, and will be heading to the lake the day after the eclipse when
everybody else leaves the areas.

I am trying to get a hotel built in Broken Bow NE that is already booked up with people from all over the world, apparently. They drive up north into
the Nebraska Sandhills hosted by some club callled the Nebraska Star Party. Lot of "sky" out there and away from the light pollution.
