Dump Valve and Pipe

GMCers,

How is the 3" pipe attached and sealed to the dump valve?
I finally filled and checked my water system over the weekend, there is a
small leak between the valve and the pipe - I can't find anything on the
wastewater system in the parts manual, am I missing a few pages or is it not
in there?

Peter - on the holding tank side of the valve there is a rubber
gasket between the square plastic flange and the stainless steel
plate of the valve. On the downstream side of the valve, the pipe
fitting is glued to the valve with ABS cement. If the fitting is
cracked you can usually get it off by cutting the fitting close to
the valve and then sawing a slot or two at right angles across the
remaining plastic "ring" that you are trying to remove , trying not
to cut so deep as to damage the valve plastic, and then taking a
chisel (a wood chisel works fine) and "peeling" the plastic from
around the valve. Slight sanding or filing might be required to
clean it up so that a new fitting will slip over the valve. Don't
worry about it being rough as the thick ABS cement will fill in any
small grooves or rough spots and still seal well.

I recall that there is only a gasket seal that attaches to the swivel point.
I removed the swivel and clean the area then reassembled with some RTV. My
biggest problem was the remounting of a new valve to the original tank.
Nasty dirty job.
If any one knows of a replacement fluid level to replace original plese
report back
