duallie wheels

The answer to your question is NO, the wheels if they are steel are not
strong enough for the GMC. The Alcoa's for the GMC are made to register
off the center of the hub which means that the studs hold the wheel to
the hub but not support it. They will fit the GM dually, but not vice
versa! No one at this time have yet found another wheel that will fit
without causing problems. Other Netters please speak up I know that we
have several members that have tried different wheels without much luck.
If you still have Factory steel wheels be sure not to put radial tires
on the Bias rims. The early years 73, 74 had bias ply tires. Sometime
I think in 75 they went to radial rim and tires. The rim is marked with
the word RADIAL on the inside.

My 75 Palm Beach still had bias steel wheels. I know, the cost factor of
the Alcoa's makes many think long and hard, but in the long run, you will be
glad that you went this route. The ride is the reason that we got our GMC's
to begin with. The Alcoas and radial tires (I choose Goodyear 159's because
of the steel sidewalls) make a world of difference in ride and handling.
