On my way to lunch, I walked through the parking lot and past a Chrysler
Sebring convertible (year not known). I noticed that it had the seat belts
built into the seat, including the shoulder belt portion.

A while back, someone was interested in installing shoulder belts in their
coach by tying it into the coach side framework, and at the GMCMI Convention
in Marion NC last fall I saw an example of that approach.

Looks like there is a better way now, utilizing the Chrysler seats, which
eliminates having to tie into the coach structure.

Anyone know by year, what other Chrysler models utilize seats with the
built-in shoulder belt??

I just sold the wife's '93 Chrysler LeBaron Convert. It had the shoulder
belt in the pillar. No help there.

I'm just taking a wild guess here, but I'd say '96 or newer has the belt
mechanism built into the seat. That would be the new 'rounded' style.

This would have to be the Sebring rather than the LeBaron convert. One of my
co-workers has a '95 LeBaron and the belts are in the rear door post.

I believe many late model Mercedes also use this seat mounted configuration,
so that would be the same deal but cost 10 times more.
