Well I did some internet research. Located one GMC in the South island. Here is the result
Roger,

Are you the Roger Hallinan that has or had a GMC motorhome? A painted Desert? The GMC boys in the states are trying to track them all and I have your name (Roger Hallinan, Karatane OH) from the master list. If so I would love to hear from you. I am a kiwi that has lived in Alberta for 40 odd years, a GMC owner, and presently in NZ for a couple of years. Peter Garry AAA RIBA ANZIA Retired Architect

Hello Peter,

You have a correct contact however the GMC was my brother's. Unfortunately it was totally destroyed in a property fire some 2 or 3 years ago. The insurance company dumped the remains I understand. Regards, Roger

I’ll Email Roger Hallinan and get some more information about his brother and his GMC. Then I’ll try the other end of NZ where the other GMC was supposed to be.

Was the Halinan coach the one in this photo in Christchurch?
I sent an email to the Brick Works pub advertised on the sign in the photo to see if they had any information on the coach.
