This can be caused by a bent door as some have reported. When the
door strap is not on and the door swings open it can bend the center
in and cause the top and bottom to be away from the frame. However,
I have found some time back that often it is worse at the latch side
so it often is not caused by a bent door but rather by a "bulging" of
the sidewall of the GMC by the door opening. I coined the term
"middle age spread" for this some time back. You can tell if this is
the problem by examining the inside of the sidewall near the latch.
If the cabinet side of the refrigerator (assuming the refrig is next
to the door) is pulled away from the wall at the center but touching
at the top and at the bottom then this is your problem. I had
promised Gene Fisher months ago that I would write up my cure for
this for his web site but I had not gotten around to it. I'll try to
do it during this next week.

Beginning in the late 1976 or early '77 actory rallys the tech guys would
go down the line installing a door-check on every coach. My 1975 (now
owned by John Bush) had one but as was stated some were removed to allow
the Birch screen door.

Yes - I have a cure for it. I did the fix to my coach a few years
ago and I've done it to a couple of others since. I'll write it up
and get it posted withing a week. Meanwhile - DON'T BEND YOUR DOOR.
That is not the fix.
