I haven't gotten them yet, but I looked on the Goodyear site and
printed those retailers/wholesalers who sold their tires within a
certain distance of me. Made 5 calls. Ordered in the name of a
friend who has an automotive business. Was told a wait of 3 to 5
weeks......so where am I going in December?
Order placed...now I sit with fingers crossed that quoted prices are
the pick up price. I also specified on the PO that all must be mfg'd
in 1998 (tire code) or I retain the right to decline acceptance. Just
under $100 each. Previously I kept seeing around $140 US as the
going rate. Alcoa's however are cheaper in the US via Wright at
$1150 for the package of 6 landed at the door (in my case...any
door I choose south of the border)
I'll keep you informed....just ordered two days ago!
