No you don't have to take the windows apart that is if you are talking about
the little slider front windows next to driver and passenger seats.
Can't find my instructions looked since you posted guess I filed it away to
good. Will look again.
Hopefully you can remove the old ones just start from one end and pull(hope
no one put gorilla snot down first) You can use the window as a pry by
lifting up on the old felt and pushing the window against it while pulling
on the end.
be sure track is very clean before installing the new ones. Then start by
pushing the new felt-rubber under the window until you can grasp the
opposite end then hold on tight and move the window in the direction you are
pulling the felt until it's in the track.

Are you saying you can't get the old out?
Or you can't get the new started.
Was yours glued in?
If it's just rust maybe soak in some Kroil.

I bought the kit from Jim Bounds, haven't installed it yet, but found the
instructions. Sorry, I don't have a scanner, I can copy them and mail them

When you put the new in it is not necessary to use glue. We didn't and the
window channeling stays in place fine. You may find that the bottom piece or
top piece whichever you put in LAST is quite tight in fact at the
instructions of Jim Bounds we had to sand the bottom of the channel rubber
to make ours go in. Just not enough room.
