Excellent. It's kinda hard to describe as it almost isn't there.
With AC running there does not seem to be additional noice from genset, i.e.
drowns it out completely and less vibration than what I can remember from
the Onan days.

I'm not saying this right, but I hope you know what I mean :-)

Actually, the hot water heater makes more noise (propane).

I'm still hoping for a comparative opportunity one of these days.

I can't comment on this one at all as switch-over and electrics in general
seemed to be different in my transmode, as in I've always had auto
switch-over... and thought everyone else did. [g].

You're probably right on that as my genset has more muffler and shroud and
is further under the coach, exhausting to the rear.

It's be a great place to mount an antenna or 2.
Would destroy the clean lines of the coach though... the awning poles are
bad enough :-)

Two things... the sound factor on your new generator?
the fact that Royales have these switches when going genset

Any comments? I'm beginning to think they have made all the easy changes
to quiet things on the engine. I'm guessing, but think the rest has got
to come from the exhaust department. What do you think hear about the
exhaust extention that goes up the side of the motorhome and opens at an
altitude of 12 feet or so?
