Was informed by the grandkids the coach is going to the Mouses house next summer.
Any advice?

Make sure the A/C works really well, and pack plenty of your choice of pain relievers/relaxants :)

How far in advance do you need to reserve a space in an RV lot?

If your going to Fort Wilderness make sure and reserve as far ahead as possible. It's a little expensive but it's first class and the ease you can get
in and out of the Magic Kingdom, at the end of a long day is worth it. If you get tired during the day hop back on the boat, that runs back and forth,
go to your coach, chill, and go back for the night time stuff when it cools down. Lots of stuff for kids at the campground too. They have internal
transports that run back and forth to the other Disney attractions. With the size of our TZE and the large sites we parked up front with the towd and
still had room for a good size tent in the back for the kids. Bring bikes if you can. Just my experiences.

Go with Skip's suggestion. Staying at a Disney has benefits. We did the park one 4th of July, stayed in premises, great to be easily return to air
conditioned quiet comfort during the afternoon.
Bring more cash.

Went went this past April and stayed in the cabins at Fort Wilderness. A
bunch of people rented (I think $300/week) or brought golf carts, but there
are buses that run through the area to take you to the difference places.
If you go to the Magic Kingdom in the evening you can take a bus (leaves
from Settlement depot) instead of the boat which is much faster.

The kids have already requested we take the new RV there soon too.

We are going this fall. I booked Ft Wilderness 499 days ahead of our first arrival, which was the very first day I could. Study the loop map. There
are benefits to being up front by check in, namely you are close to the buses to the parks, there are benefits to being in the middle, namely you are
close to the pools, movie night area, and food, and there are benefits to being way in the back, you are close to the boats to Magic Kingdom and the
Hoop Dee Doo Revue. Chose what is important to you and find the loop that fits. About 7-10 days before you go, you can request a specific site in a
loop as well.

If you aren't staying at Ft. Wilderness, ignore all of this. But if you are, book now. As a resort guest, you can book your dining reservations 6
months ahead. You WILL need to do this if you want to get into the better places to eat and the shows like Hoop Dee Doo and Spirit of Aloha. If you
are using the Disney Dining Plan, it is imperative you book your Table Seating Restaurants 6 months in advance of the first day of arrival. Otherwise
you will be using your meal plan on lesser restaurants, which is a waste of money.

Finally, if you stay at a Disney resort, like Ft. Wilderness, you can book Fastpasses for the rides 60 days in advance. You WILL need to do this as
well, especially if you want to limit the amount of time you spend in line and get the most out of your park tickets. If you don't stay at a Disney
resort, you can book 30 days ahead. The difference in what is available, especially at peak times, is incredible.

Disney is no longer one of those places you show up and walk around. It is a mountain of pre-planning. They have been very clever. People used to show
up, wait in line forever, eat in crappy restaurants, and complain that it wasn't worth the money. They have now moved as much of the frustration about
your trip as possible to before you go. So you get really annoyed at Disney while doing all the planning, but once you get there you have a plan, most
things are set, and you just go along for the ride. Not very spontaneous, but it does cut down on the frustration. Then when you leave, you remember
how well it worked, and not so much how frustrating it was to all plan!

Clever, clever Disney, but it does mean start early and plan hard...

If possible, escape the mouse one day and visit JimB at his new digs. He's only about 30 -45 minutes away north of the airport. And you don't have
to exit through the gift shop!

I don't know about that gift shop. LOL. It gets RC and me every time. Our
GMC is pretty full of extras.

Hauling a toad?
Wekiwa Springs State Park in Apopka or Lake Louisa State Park in Clermont. Reserve early. No toad, bite the bullet and stay in or adjacent to The
Mouse.

We were just there in June. The Fort Wilderness campground is awesome and we loved it, it's out a ways in its own area and you aren't fighting tons
of people out there. A plus at the campground is the ferry boat that goes to and from the Magic Kingdom, so you can bypass the busses and save a
short wait. Going by bus it seemed to take about 45 min to get to any of the parks though, as you have to go from the bus station in your area in the
campground to the main campground bus stop, then from there to the destination park. But the busses run frequent and it is a good system.

We're used to the frigid north and encountered issues with our coach, vapor lock and carb issues due to the heat. On the day we checked out of DW we
limped over to JimB and he and his guys got us a new carb and inline electric fuel pump to fix the vapor lock and we got home with no problems at all.
We still can't thank them enough for all of their help.

And last but not least.. Make sure the roof AC is working well!!

Enjoy!!!
