Seattle filmworks has a mail in program that also includes converting 35 mm
pictures to digital for use on a computer. It also has the software as a
total package. I have not used the system so I can not recommend it. Maybe
somebody on the GMCnet has and can comment on it.

Last year I obtained a Scanport scanner, which came with a hand wand type
attachment that holds 35 mm film so you can scan it.

This guy had some type of negative scanner for 35 mm film. I still have
some 8 mm film from when the kids were young and asked him if he thought I
would be able to use that type of scanner for 8 mm. He said sure with some
modifications. I don't know what kind of film scanner it was but he did get
it at Comp USA.
