Dakota digital has a series of digital inst. sets with sending units
they have many different styles, you just supply the dash. or
I wonder if enough demand, they would design on to fit the GMC.

take a look

I,ve seen one of their hot rod dash sets and they are nice.

[Sorry if this gets posted twice. Patrick... I screwed up and sent it
originally from the Jornada HPC. Still messing around with mail servers and
grabbed the wrong 'puter]

Digital Dash 2 cents

See the pics at www.bytedesigns.com/gmc. I've had it in for quite a few
years now.

Dakota do indeed make one for the GMC. I talked to them at the SEMA show and
they are still at it.

I got mine through Clasco 'way back but you shouldn't have any problem
getting it directly from Dakota. The only thing I don't know is if they
supplied the faceplate (dark plastic) or if Clasco sourced that elsewhere.

If you need additional pics, ie close-ups, just let me know.

Works well, flashes when fuel gets down to less than 10%. Note I said
(wrote) percent. The fuel is shown in percent, i.e. 99 = full tank.

Real easy to use... at 50% you can expect the fuel to seperate, i.e. less
than 50% (or thereabouts) you start feeding from the tanks individually.

I can't remember how much it was either, sorry.

Yes, please, Heinz, post some close-ups. Dakota didn't show any for the
GMC on their web page. Thanks a bunch.

Phoned Dakota Friday Dec. 04. The person I talked to on the phone told me that
they do not have a dash for the GMC motorhome but would gladly manufacture one
to fit. Big Dollars. The best price I have found, for what you get, so far has
been (can't remember name right now) the outfit that advertises in GMC
marketplace. Darren (still looking)

Darren,
I bet if you take your current dashcover to a local plastics shop they might
do one more reasonable. Mine is the smoked plastic kind. And ... as I
indicated earlier, you might check with Alex Sirum.

As far as the actual electronics go, it's a Dakot for a '55 Chev.
