Anybody got a schematic and/or service info on the 2.8KW Onan genset? Single cylinder 3600 rpm? Friend's just expired. I suspect a lack of sparks
but we have to unship it from the bottom of his van tomorrow to diagnose and heal.

Johnny,

I have one at home, but it is as old as ours and I do not remember the model number.

You really need to have the model number to do much, it will start with two letters like AM or AF and a number.

I can't even look at what I have until Thursday.

Got the manual, got it going. Runs fine with load. Shut it off, doesn't restart. We will continue this evening after it's cooled. Options are no
spark or bad mixture. We'll be checking for both this evening. In that two control modules behave the same, I suspect a choke gone Dixie when you
try to start it warm. These little engines are uber sensitive at startup.

It's a 28KV xxXXxx model Onan. My local Onan tech has nothing good to say about the model. It's the second one this gent has bought. I notice
Applied lists them for sale. If you have to have one, buy it from Applied, they stand behind what they sell. The control module is potted, you can
neither repair it nor test it directly. The oil level switch is inside the oil pan, PIA to replace. Etc.

Current plan is, if we don't find something silly and obvious, replace it with a genset fro H-F. Their 3200 is less expensive than the
control module for the Onan.
