I thought this might be of interest to many Netters. This is from Carl
Westphal of Nampa, ID who is on his 4th GMC at the age of 81!

Hi Dave,

Off possible interest to others a friend of min Bill
Hubler--Valley Air Service 5103 Hubler Rd. Caldwell Id.
83605 has installed very sucessfuly a 6.5 chev turbo Diesel
in hi 73 coach it will out run my 455 on any steep grade,
Flat land tested at 55mph for 100 miles gave 18 mph and at high
speed 70 gave 12 mpg! Bill is no Novice on retrfits. He was
one of the first ones to in stall a turbo Prop to a corn cob
powered Ag. Cat now has 5 tubo Prop Thrush
spray Planes.

My first question would be what transmission..
and if bolted up to the Toro/Eldo tranny, where can I get one..
Would be nice to know how much of a chore it was...
