Dick,
If it ever was brought to your attention before that the GMC/Toronado
front suspension was barely adequate for a motorhome, just think what
the weight of a diesel engine would add.

That was debated here about 4-6 monts back. Someone then seemed to say that
there was little or no weight differential with the diesel engine being
proposed, of which I don't recall.

Steve,

I don't know that the characterization "barely adequate" is appropriate, but
I do agree that the additional weight of the diesel(especially one that
would generate enough low-end torque to replace the 455) is undesireable.
There are still plenty of sources for quality rebuilds if Jasper does indeed
complete exit the market.
