Did everyone set their clocks Sunday?

I didn't.

That is because you forgot to set them back last fall.

Most of Indiana use to be that way. A couple of years back they voted down state to go on DST. We have fought over this for years. In my area (5.5
counties) we are Central time with DST. The rest of the state is Eastern time and did not do DST. The time zones remained the same but the whole
state does DST.

When I was in grade school the state edict-ed that our schools had to run on EST while the everything else (gov't and business) ran CST/CDT. To keep
the state happy the schools changed all of the clocks to EDT and then also changed the school hours to match Central time.

The major argument was from the farmers who said the cows did not like getting up an hour earlier or later. I never saw a clock in a barn or in the
field and I also never saw a cow that could read one.

I really posted this because I thought someone would like the picture.

Ken,
Milk cows are creatures of habit know when they should be milked. I am pretty sure that changing milking time an hour would change milk production for
the worse. This would of course hurt the farmers pocketbook. However I am also pretty sure the farmers adjusted THEIR time so that the cows did not
notice.
And I did enjoy the picture.

Cows, as well as all other animals, plus all plants operate on SUN time, not artificially generated "man" time.

I'm in Arizona... what's this "Daylight Savings thing", anyway?

When you live in the desert, the LAST thing you want is more daylight! Better to have an extra hour before work to walk the dog, play with the kids,
or do some GMC maintenance than having that extra time when it's triple digits outside!

For people in Arizona DST is like SMOG. I have heard something about it but I have never seen it. Jim K. keeps talking about passing SMOG. I have
heard about passing gas but never about passing SMOG.
