My '73 Glenbrook has been stored outside under cover for the past 18 months
while I was recuperating.
Took it out for a drive and noticed that there was considerably less
braking power. Coach did swerve or anything just took a lot of hard
pushing.
Any suggestions where I should start troubleshooting?
Thanks

I would ask when the last full maintenance cycle or replacements were done. Sounds like booster, vacuum to the booster, or the master cylinder at
first glance. How long has the MC been in service? Last fluid change? If the front calipers are frozen or the short section of rubber hose has
collapsed you will lose the use of the majority (front) stopping power. Did the front rotors scrub the rust off from sitting for over a year? Just
some thoughts.

Oliver,
Setting for 18 month out in the weather even thou covered the rotors will
have a layer of rust on the front rotors and the drums will be coated on
the rear.

1. Check the brake fluid level.
2. When were the rear brakes adjusted?
3. Find a safe place, a large parking lot and such. Do several braking
stops (5 to 6) from 25 mph to get all the junk off the rotors/pads and
drums/shoes. Also back up and stop, to adjust the brakes if the adjusters
are still installed.
