Lanier,

I am rebuilding the front end on my coach in the next couple of weeks and=

have been having some difficulty finding the appropriate steering damper.=

What was the delco number?

Regards

why not just use the moog original ssd-61 available at most truck repair
facilities or your auto parts store

The exact, even new bolts, for $34. + you know what, is Moog SSD55: Very
dusty box.

Tom:

GMCMI Newsletter # 41, p. 4, reports that the Moog SSD61 bolts in the kit
were too short, the mounting holes too big, and the kit was more expensive
due to the included unusable (guess that means you have to purchase
additional???) hardware vs. the Moog SSD55.

Did you find that to be true??

I am also replacing the steering damper. No luck with several local
parts shops, people who have helped with other parts and who really
tried, not just brushed me off. Also I started the search with Numbers
Moog SSD-61 & SSD-55, Delco 4975363 and Pliacell 208-36.
Just ordered steering damper from Cinnabar - $48. Also called Gateway
where the price was $62.
