Hi, We just got a 73 desert 230, 4-26-99, And was just wondering if we got a
good price for it. We call the paint job which will be the name of our RV,
Pumpkin-Rose after nicknames of our grandson and granddaughter. Anyway our
pumpkin has alot of options and was very well kept, We got it for 8500.00
with all the manuals inculding service manual and a bunch of extra
accessaries all of which is in great running shape.

Hi Nate,

T Skirts are usually available as many owners are going to more modern
type skirts, either 2 piece units or flares. You might try Alex Sirum GMC
at 941-763-1121 as they usually have some there.

Did you get my msg asking for info for the GMC Registry?

Sounds like you got a great deal! A beautifully restored 23' model sold
in Florida recently for $38,000!

Hi, Yes we did see the request for the Registry, And was going to register
as soon as we get our Pumpkin-Rose home. She said that she knew what she
could sell it for but wanted to make a good deal to a nice couple so that
her baby had a good home to goto. Two ladys owned it and they are 81/82 now
and said it was to much to travel now. When we took it for a test drive she
really showed us the ins and outs of the knowledge she had of her baby, And
when I did something that she thought was not right BOY did she let me know
about. As soon as our check clears the Pumpkin-Rose will be at its new home.

Ron,
I bought basically the same coach last summer in a Cannonlands and paid $6K
for it. Has 78,000 original miles on it , got all the original invoices etc. and
even a spare new old stock transmission still in the GM crate. It needs allot of
little things fixed on the inside such as faucet seals, etc. I've done most of
the mechanical things including new Alcoas and Good Years. It did not have a
generator however.... bought a new Onan Emerald with 1 hour on it for half price
of Camping World. It's always been in California, so no corrosion in the frame
and undercarriage. All metal underneath is still pristine. I don't even need to
change the brakelines because they are still shinny even though I bought a set
of stainless lines. My only regret is that I didn't get the 26 footer. I think
the 23 footer is cramped, even for two, but that's a matter of personal choice.

Hi Phil,
Sounds like you got a good deal, The ladys we got ours from took real good
care of there baby, theres 30,000 on the rebuild engine and transmission,
the front-end was redone in 95, airbags were replaced acouple of years ago,
she redid the inside which looks brand new, reefer was redone, the 6k onan
was just rebuilt and runs good,the tires looks brand new on stock rims. she
added a mattress to the bed inback, she added the pooper pumper, Brakes were
redone ayear and ahalf ago. She added alot of goodies inside which looks
real good, the stock paint on the outside is faded alittle but I think
waxing will make it look new, need to paint the stripes tho. but overall I
think we got a real good deal. she even threw in the remaining towing from
good sams which will expire in December. Not bad for 1st RV after moving
here from the bay area 6 weeks ago.
