While everyone across Americana is trying to help Heinz with his front
end vibration/noise problem, and some of the thoughts are around CV
joints, it made me think about when I did mine sometime back.Someone
had suggested to me ( can't remember where I heard it),that when one
has them out to reverse the shafts and bearings, that is, move the right
shaft and bearing over to the left side, and left side over to the right
side. Both are identical in every respect and the idea is that the wear
is then put on the opposite side of the races and on the other sides of
the splines at the final drive ends. It seemed like a good idea to me
but now someone most likely is going to tell me I did a terrible
thing. What do you think, have any others done the same thing or not?
