First, the cruise control (original) on our '76 Royale has developed an
annoying glitch. Once set, it allows our speed to gradually decline 3 - 4
mph, and then picks it back up to where it was originally set, a la
"resume". The cycle repeats itself every 30 seconds, or so.
Can this be corrected without replacing any hard to get parts, or would I
be better off putting in a new one, with decel, resume, accel, etc. (I
remember Jim Bounds touting a reliable unit he had installed in several
coaches)
Also, my wife & I are thoroughly frustrated by the latches which supposedly
lock those nice big windows. Either we can't get them unlocked to get fresh
air, or we're plagued with drafts and horrible squeaks because we can't get
them to stay locked. None of the four work the way the manual says they
should. Any ideas?
