Thanks John, but the diaphragm rotted out causing the problem. They
aren't available any more according to nick (at Jim k's shop)

Check eBay and Amazon and you'll find many of them. Search as "cruise control servo".
Cardone is apparently rebuilding them so you might check Rock Auto or even your local auto parts shops.

Thanks all, yes I do remember a plastic sleeve at one point think I got
left off after the last rebuild just need new servo sounds like an easy
fix.

Thanks Justin and Johnny I did a quick search and it looks like the Cardone
38-165 I servo is $84 which all said and done is close to $100 where is a
new electronic one is $300 so maybe I just spring for the Rastra unit and
be done with it. what are the tweaks that Jim has are they worth it? and is
it a P.IT.A. to install ? yes mine was finicky also plus I do like the
bump up-and-down speed feature I have that in other vehicles.
Thanks

Ron,
You need to read the Rastra instruction and find out.
The late Duane Simmons set them up for the GMC MH and after he passed away
we continued the mods.Jim Bounds of Coop also has them pre worked.

I am not sure what Jim does, you'd have to call and ask.
You'll need to connect it to the throttle, and it comes with all hardware for that. And then flip some dip switches and bend the mounting bracket
that they send you, but overall it was very simple if you're mechanically inclined.
The hardest part was getting my hands in the tiny spots to mount things.

My only problem with his method is the recommendation to mount the unit using a blind bolt under the carpet. If you never want to remove it, cool.
If you do, though, it's a problem. I put another nut on an existing bolt which held the clip for the vacuum booster hose.

When you say the diaphragm do you mean the transducer unit? As Emery pointed out, Cardone rebuilds the transducer units (which I think are what
usually fail or dry up). We purchased and installed the Cardone 36-102 a couple of years ago and it completely restored the cruise to working
condition again. They are available on Ebay, Amazon, etc. for around $100.

No, I didn’t say anything about the transducer. I was discussing the servo which is the rubber bellows that the chain attaches to.

It is with great pleasure that I announce that I have working cruise control in the coach. Also a big shout out to Ken Frey for making that happen.
While I try to do most of my own work, I do budget a few dollars each year for things like this. Anyway, the coach was in this week for its annual
Pennsylvania State safety inspection and I asked Ken to look at the cruise control. It needed a new transducer and the replacement of a wire in the
wiring harness that had lost continuity somewhere. I was able to assist with the tracing and testing of the circuits. Ken is a good technician and
knows his way around the schematic and the wiring harness.

I felt like "King for the Day" as I drove home last night with the cruise control set at 55 mph on PA 663. Still many desired upgrades on the coach
but I believe on this day, July 26, 2017, everything on my coach is working. While there are still many desired upgrades, everything is now
functional as I celebrate 4 years of GMC ownership.
