so where do I go looking? what cars did they come on, what to watch out for so I do not grab the wrong one. time to start popping some hoods at
my buddy's "auto ranch".

This is the rubber diaphram deal that has the chain to the carb. Mine is now totally junk. I see they maybe not available new, or cost too much $.
I also cannot find a part number to be sure.

Jon
I found them on older GM cars, Cadillac and Oldsmobile, at the local pull-a-part.

Jon,

The diaphragm thing they call a Power Unit and the '75 part number is 6494938. My bet would be that if you can find one that looks close, you can
make it work.

I don't recall what happened to the cruise on out coach, but it got replaced with a period Dana Speedostat.
Why a period aftermarket cruise?
Because I had a box full of parts from installations removed when vehicles went to scrap.

When the engine project is done, I will try to remember to look. That may be a while longer.

thanks Matt. I had tried to do some searching on ebay, but was not seeing the correct cruise control servo. When I put in that part number, a NOS
came up, that was just in Iowa. I should have it by friday! auction was with your part number, photos looked to be correct front and back. He
had it listed for a firebird.

I will have to keep my eye out for these, and see what cars they might come on. I seen some listing for early 77 Corvette too on a corvette page,
but it was listed as discontinued.

The 73 - 78 Buicks are and exact replacement with the 3 pin electrical connector ( hold, engage and light. Other 73 thru 78 gm cars units will work without dash light. Unusually mounted on the the drivers side front fender. (Quoted from Junkyars Gems)
