It seems as though a lot of people are looking to trade couches for
chairs and chairs for couches. I have also been looking for the couch
that converts to bunks. One has been located but the problem is
shipping. Looks like the only people that will ship these things are
trucking companies. It only costs about $800.00 with a trucking co. to
go any distance. Courier co. will not take them as there dimensions add
to too much for their little old trucks to take. This will also be the
case with the captains chairs.
What we need to do here is to find a co-operative way to move these
things our selves. Some type of hop shipping, whereby members of this
group, if traveling, could move these for us. Once they get close enough
we can pick them up at that location. I am willing to travel quite a
distance to help out. Unfortunately there are not a lot of owners in the
northwest.
If anybody has an alternative to this or has found someone who will
ship these items for a reasonable cost please let us know so we may take
advantage of this. Thanks Darren

I have both shipped and received some rather large boxes and the cost was
very reasonable. The shipping on 7 Alcoa wheels and accessories were only
$37.50, and thats a lot of weight more than the coach of a chairs

The problem is not with the weight. The problem lies with the dimensions and
the way the courier co. calculate size. You must add the width x 2 plus the
depth x 2 and the length. This total dimension can not exceed 130 inches. The
alcoas are shipped in separate boxes which keeps the dimensions down.

Alcoas are shipped 2 to a box.

Perfect. Emery does not deliver to this part of Canada. What else is new.

Tried Airborne. No good. I need somebody in the states to check with Emery. They
do not have any kind of a listing in Alberta and I don't know their Canadian
counterpart. Fed Ex., UPS., RPS., Loomis, and Purolator, have all said no way.
I will not give up yet though. Darren
