If it is against forum policy mentioning a specific local shop, please let me know and I will remove this post.

My radiator finally gave up the ghost and Mac's radiator in Portland, OR was a pleasure working with and built a new core with 14 fins/inch and 53
tubes. The original core they made for it only had 10fins/inch and when I pointed out the fin count they built a new core with 14 fins/inch for no
additional fee.

I just received a letter and phone call, several weeks after receiving the radiator, asking how the radiator install went and inquiring into their
customer service. I appreciate that level of follow through!

It is always nice to know of vendors or shops able to help us GMC owners.

They have a sister shop in Salem, and I always use them. Get stuff done on
time. Prices are fair. Never had a problem with their work.

I'll be sure it gets put on the Service Provider Comments List if it's not
already there. http://www.bdub.net/GMCServiceComments.pdf

And the other sister shop in Eugene re-cored my plugged up radiator 8-9
years ago. They get all my business here. Kind of good to know it's a
franchise thing to do good work and not just one shop.

Let me also recommend Sims in the Atlanta area - they have several shops. They recored mine with more capacity. Old school, non-aspirating torches
lighting the place, nonskid mats over unknown liquids on the floor. The were rebuilding the radiator out of a GP-35 locomotive. When I (stupidly)
broke the overflow pipe off on install, I took it back and they replaced the pipe while I waited - no charge.
